EFIP Terms of Service

1. Who runs the service

EFIP (Etherneco Finance Intelligence Platform) is operated by ETHERNECO LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under number 14648043, registered office: The Accountancy Partnership, 70 Grange Road East, Wirral, United Kingdom, CH41 5FE.

All communication about the service happens by email at [email protected] — the only official contact address. The registered office is a company-registration address, not a support channel.

In these terms, “the service” means the EFIP application published under this domain, and “you” means the person using it.

2. What EFIP is and is not

EFIP is a tool for organising your own financial data: it reads statements, invoices and receipts, categorises transactions, detects subscriptions and lets you ask questions of an analyst built on a language model.

EFIP is not, and does not replace:

• financial, investment, tax or legal advice,
• an accounting service or bookkeeping system,
• a payment institution — the service holds no funds, makes no transfers and does not connect to your bank account to move money.

3. Accounts and access

• You create an account with an email address and password, or by signing in with Google.
• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity carried out under your account. Email us if you suspect unauthorised access.
• The demo account is shared, read-only and filled with sample data. Do not upload any real data to it — anything placed there is visible to other visitors and may be wiped at any time.
• We may suspend or delete an account that breaches these terms or threatens the stability of the service.

4. Acceptable use

When using the service you agree that:

• you upload only data you are entitled to upload, and you remain responsible for the legal basis of processing it where it concerns other people;
• you do not upload unlawful content, malware or files intended to disrupt the service;
• you do not circumvent security measures, attempt to reach other users’ data, or load the service with automated traffic beyond ordinary use;
• you do not use the service for unlawful purposes.

5. Availability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee uptime, response times or any service level.

We may change, limit or shut down the service or any of its features at any time, including without notice — in particular the demo account and anything marked experimental or “coming soon”.

6. Results, calculations and the AI analyst

Transaction categorisation, subscription detection, forecasts, indicators and AI analyst answers are produced automatically and may be incomplete or wrong. Language models can also state false information convincingly.

Verify any figure you intend to act on — financially, fiscally or commercially — against the original source document, or with your accountant or adviser. Output generated by the service is not a basis for any claim.

7. Liability

You use the service at your own risk and on your own responsibility. To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither the service nor ETHERNECO LTD is liable for any consequence of using it or of being unable to use it, in particular for:

• financial, tax, investment or business decisions made on the basis of data, calculations or AI answers from the service,
• damages, losses, lost profits, penalties or interest arising from such decisions,
• incorrect, incomplete or outdated import, categorisation or analysis results,
• loss, corruption or disclosure of data, outages and failures,
• the acts or omissions of third parties: hosting providers, AI model providers and Google sign-in.

8. Limits of these exclusions

The exclusions above apply only as far as the law allows. We do not exclude or limit liability for intentional harm, for personal injury, or any liability that cannot be excluded towards a consumer under mandatory law.

9. Backups

Keep your own copies of the files you upload. The service is not an archive or a backup system for your documents. Deleting your account deletes the data attached to it and cannot be undone.

10. Ownership

The application code, its design, name and logo belong to ETHERNECO LTD. The data you upload stays yours — we claim no rights to it and do not use it to train models.

11. Self-hosted installations

EFIP can be run on your own infrastructure. In that case the person or organisation operating the installation is solely responsible for its security, updates, backups, AI provider configuration and for the lawfulness of the processing carried out there.

12. Changes to these terms

These terms may change — the version published on this page, dated at the top, is the one that applies. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it; if you do not, stop using the service and you may ask us to delete your account.

13. Complaints, governing law and jurisdiction

Send complaints and remarks to [email protected]. We reply within a reasonable time, no later than 30 days from receiving the message.

The service is offered under the law of England and Wales only. These terms, your use of the service and any dispute arising from it are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the English courts have exclusive jurisdiction. If that basis is not acceptable to you, do not use the service.

We do not operate under any other legal system, have no representative in the European Union and do not adapt the service to local requirements. The Polish version of these documents is a convenience translation; in case of any discrepancy the English version prevails.

This choice of law cannot set aside those consumer provisions of your own country that cannot lawfully be excluded — to that extent they apply regardless of this clause.
